18. Restart the PFD in normal mode. Verify that the L FUEL LOW and R FUEL LOW
annunciations are not present.

4.7 GRS 77 Earth Magnetic Field Updates
The GRS 77 utilizes an Earth magnetic field model which is updated once every five years. The update is
expected to be available from Garmin in each of the following years: 2010, 2015, and every five years
thereafter, as long as the GRS 77 remains a Garmin-supported product.
The G1000 system alerts the operator that the magnetic field database is out of date by issuing the
message “AHRS SERVICE – AHRS Magnetic-field model needs update” (Ref. Section 5.13). For the
2010 GRS MV update file, it may be loaded by one of two methods. The first method is by updating the
Jeppesen Navigation database in the system to cycle 1013 or later for those aircraft with G1000 system
software version 0369.13 as well as 0321.17 or later. Garmin Service Advisory 1051 gives instructions
on how to update the GRS MV file using the Jeppesen Nav DB update method. Garmin Service Bulletin
0533 provides instructions for loading the file using a Garmin software loader card for aircraft with any
system software version. The Service Alert and Service Bulletin may be obtained from www.garmin.com
at the ‘Dealers Resource Center’ portion of the web site.
4.8 GSA 81 Greasing Procedure
Re-grease each servo output gear following this procedure.
1. Remove each servo (see Section 6.10).
2. Remove excess grease build-up from the single servo output gear using a lint-free cloth.
IMPORTANT!
It is not necessary to remove all of the grease from the output gear, only the excess
grease. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS TO CLEAN THE OUTPUT GEAR!
3. Using a brush or other applicator, apply a thin coat of grease to the servo output gear. Use
Aeroshell 17 or Aeroshell 33MS grease.
4. Re-install the servos.
5. Move control surfaces through their range of motion.
