DATA LINK WEATHER PRODUCTS
Data Link Weather products include: SiriusXM, FIS-B, and Connext.
WARNING: Do not use data link weather information for maneuvering in, near
or around areas of hazardous weather. Information contained within data
link weather products may not accurately depict current weather conditions.
WARNING: Do not use the indicated data link weather product age to
determine the age of the weather information shown by the data link weather
product. Due to time delays inherent in gathering and processing weather
data for data link transmission, the weather information shown by the data
link weather product may be significantly older than the indicated weather
product age.
Setting Up and Customizing Weather Data for the Navigation Map
Page
1)
Select the Navigation Map Page.
2)
Press the MENU Key.
3)
With ‘Map Setup’ highlighted, press the
ENT
Key.
4)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select the ‘Weather’ Group and press the ENT
Key.
5)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob or press the
ENT
Key to scroll through product
selections.
6)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to scroll through options for each product (ON/
OFF, range settings).
7)
Press the
ENT
Key to select an option.
8)
Press the FMS Knob or CLR Key to return to the Navigation Map Page with
the changed settings.
Switching Between FIS-B, Connext, and SiriusXM Weather Sources
1)
Turn the large FMS Knob on the MFD to select the MAP page group.
2)
Turn the small FMS Knob to select the desired Weather Data Link Page.
3)
Press the MENU Key.
4)
Turn the large FMS Knob to select ‘Display FIS-B Weather’, ‘Display
Connext Weather’, or ‘Display XM Weather’ (choice dependent on current
weather source) and press the ENT Key.
